So, I swapped out my stock DP for a Perrin unit yesterday and when I had the intercooler off I noticed that there was oil sitting in the turbo outlet. Is this normal? There was a little oil in the intercooler output as well, but not nearly as much as was in the turbo outlet. I'm talking about enough to have a 1/2 wide channel in the output of the turbo, no more, prolly less than 2CC.
It's normal from what i've heard/experienced...You can install an air/oil separator to clean it up. There's some expensive ones and some DIY kinds too... http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=754710 If I'm thinking of what you're describing right...
