oil pressure

    i just installed an oil pressure gauge today and i was surprised that i almost maxed out the gauge with 85psi max. To me this sounds a little on the high side, so im wondering if this is normal and how much pressure everyone else has?

    On my EJ255, my oil pressure is around 90 for a cold start, and 100 at 3k when cold. It's around 25 PSI when warm idle, and about 80 PSI at 3k RPM when warm.

    yea thats about what my readings were at, so when its boosted (ej18) it will be just fine or should i upgrade?

    you wont need to upgrade it, not unless you find away to increase your rev limit a couple thousand rpm.
