I totally agree with you here. I wouldve spent that extra money spent here for more power, but I give him props.

Keep in mind that an LS1 can be found pretty cheap. He probably didn't spend all that much more than someone would spend for a turbo/injector/intercooler/exhaust/tune. And in the end, he has alot more potential for power than an EJ20.

Yea, I wish he would have been able to keep it AWD, but there was just no way apparently. Should have upgraded the rear end though.

I guess he's planning on doing that once he turbos it. Twin turbos + 6.0 liters = omf win.

I understand. And I'm guessing with he other posts that he's the guy with the civette. Pretty cool. He's got time and money so it doesn't matter. Like a stated it's cool but if it were me I'd keep it original. But again props to the swap. Wouldn't mind trying it out too. His civette was pretty cool too.

Seems like hillbillies will put a lsx into whatever they can find nowdays... imo it's kinda gay, I'll stick with doing swaps from the same manufacturer, like teg motors in civics, rotaries in 7's, etc...

Yeah but anyone can swap a rotary motor or a honda motor. Its cool to think outside the box. Also the reason people keep doing these lsx motor swaps is because you can get them out of the junk yard for under a thousand bucks intake to pan. Vary cost effective.

Its not really thinking outside the box, when they put them in everything now is it...

It's infinitely more "outside the box" than just putting a similar motor with the same motor mounting parts and wiring in there and getting a mild tune. Swapping one rotary for another rotary doesn't take a whole lot of creative thinking. Swapping a rotary into a car that had a transverse inline 4 is creative and innovative. Swapping a RWD platformed V8 into a car that was originally meant to have an H4 AWD setup is innovative and outside the box.

There are a million N/A 97-01 Imprezas with turbo H4 swaps out there. There is nothing innovative about them. It's a tried and true swap that has been done so many times that you can find step by step how to do it online. Same with Honda swaps. There isn't a step by step guide to putting and LS1 into a Subaru Impreza. Lots of people talk innovation, but rarely do you see them ever innovate.
