Greeting one and all. This has been talked about numerous times before so I am finally going to start it. this contest will be very similar to the other one. Heres how its will work. The contest will begin on Saturday, and continue through to the next Friday at midnight (1 week). At which time the winner (poster of the fastest time) will chose the next car and track for the following week. As an open class contest this will test not only driving skills but also the ability to setup the car. This will have to be done in Simulation mode, and some courses and cars may not be available to people who have not reached a certain point in the game. If this is a problem please do not be discourage but try the other GT4 contest thread which is based on cars and tracks available to all. Rules: -Poster must provide picture evidence of time for it to be a valid claim. -The car must be the exact same make and model as the one posted for the contest. -Cars may be modified and tweaked in what ever way the driver wishes. Excluding the use of any unnatural modifiers such as handicaps or catch-ups. First Car & Track: Aston Martin DB9 Seattle Normal
this one sounds like it could be fuuuuuun. Martin any base time for use to work off? another thought, we should post up our specs for the car
no base time yet. you can post your specs if you like, however it maybe a lenghty post if you include everything.
I may have to go buy this game again. My bro has my original copy in Milwaukee. It's only $20 now, right?
Rule implement I feel this contest has one hiccup, the use of the bottle could make things unfair. I vote that the use of nitrous oxide be taken away from this contest, unless we ever have a drag race contest ... but thats the only time.
Also any normal person would run out of it in about a lap. When is the last time you saw someone in a time attack event spraying down the back stretch?
NO2 is legal in this competition. this is an open class so anything goes, unless other wise stated in the rules. Controlling and setting up your No2 will play a big part in how well you can preform the lap. This is part of setting up the car, and this contest is looking to see who can setup and drive their car the best. IMO you might not even need N02 for this car/track combination. if you tweak teh car just right and change the gearing to fit the track perfectly wheel spin will be an issue with N02. also one thing I have noticed is that if you are using N02 alot on the back stretch it will through off your gearing since you need to increase the top end, as the car will be able to go ~40 mph faster after a long spray of N02.
exactly. everyone uses the same car on the same track but you can do what ever you want to the car to give you an advantage. person with the best time w/ that car on the listed track picks the next combo, and so forth. so change what ever you like, gearing, turbo, NO2 amounts, suspention settings, wheels, oil, ect...
It's so on, since 7:30 today I have my A and B licenses along with 3.7% complete and 7 cars. And it took me 77 days in the game . But I do have 282,907 credits, so it's time to buy that aston Just to get a time out there, my first lap was a 1'24.388. Time for bed
And once you hit 25% completion, the enduro's open up - fuji is the best $/hr, and you don't even have to play .. just b-spec it.
So is anyone going to beat the 1'24? Come on you pansies! Especially you OCB!!! That's right, I'm calling you out!
congrats. I havent had a chance to work on getting my gt4 save on to the ps3 yet. The other thread doesnt need to die now that this one is up. the other one is good for a quick lap or two, where as this is for the more involved player.
I'll come up with a new course and track tomorrow night. Just out of curiosity, what was everyones times?
ohh i never saw this new event! ok a good sugestion i thought of.....give a few days between tracks and cars so people can gain enough money to buy the cars and tune them with parts... and the most fun is usually with the cars that dont top out on the tracks stock.... the really expencive cars are not as much fun cuz anyone can just make them fast. im a fan of spoon civic typeR, the 22B impreza, and the mercedes benz 190e (non race car) but then again ive been playing this game since it came out and i own like 40somthing cars most of them tuned up to the max on at least 2 tune layouts each.....
At one point playing the game I had 75+ cars fully tuned, after realizing that I knew I had to quit playing for awhile.
Car: 2003 BMW M3 CSL Track: Laguna Seca Is that cool with everyone? Too Bad!!! That's what it's going to be!
damn it, i forgot all about the Aston race... maybe i will hook up a CSL, btw, Shibbs now has GT4 so he better compete
just put down a 1'21.325 hit the wall after the shecane thinger and wasnt using much NO2 so there is alot of room for improvement.
