I would like to keep it on the cheaper side and 18x8 or 8.5.

Some wheels I like are the rota gravels, prodrive gt1, rota mxr and linea corses. I think I want hyper black or hyper silver

    two options....

    1. Get what you like - F*ck everyone else! (Best Idea)

    2. Get what the rest of the herd tells you to do and acquire more "friends". (Most Common Idea)

If you are looking at Rota Wheels then WheelDude is going to be your option for buying them .... unless you buy used.

Indeed, get what YOU like. However, when it comes to tires, if you choose to stretch, nobody will like YOU.

Rota RT5 I believe, but that is already released. Unfortunately they only come in flat black or something, they were originally advertised in color/polished lip offerings. I have yet to see those available.
Otherwise, there aren't many other brands that are both cheap and reliable enough for daily use besides Rota. And everything that Rota makes is copied by about 6 other 'Brands' from china. You can actually find Rota wheels at a pretty decent price on sites like alibaba. I forget the name of the company that owns and supplies Rota wheels, but they are on alibaba and you can contact them direct for sales quotes.

There ya go. Topspeed Corporation Limited in Hong Kong. I've heard of people getting Rotas for about 500 a set from them. Just have to search around for the same style wheels on alibaba that look like the Rotas. They are all manufactured by the same company.

Unfortunately, I haven't actually done that before. I just read up on it a while back from some other sites where people had. Your mileage may vary. IMO though, TopSpeed is Philipine Aluminum Wheel's (ROTA) distributor in hong kong. And I think that's ALL they do. So they are likely highly aware of the needs of the community they service and if you give them the specs you want, I doubt they'd screw it up. But like most things like this, it's a risk/reward scenario. You could just buy them from wheeldude and pay full US retail for them and know exactly what you are getting. Or you can take a bit of a chance and see if you can get them from China on the cheap direct from one of ROTA's distributors. It's a bit of a crap shoot.

You could have bought the Work VS-XX 3 piece wheels I was selling last week. Wheels + Tires with at least 2 summers left on them for 1600.

Yes, that would be the correct size for that wheel.
