Tom (walloftvs) might be interested. He's been looking at a wideband for a while, your model in particular. Maybe you can tempt him with the chance to use your o2.

we are tuning my car right now(has the innovate wideband o2). i need to get the tactrix cable though so i can actually graph arf vs. rpm instead of afr vs. time.

Yes, Justin's car is coming along nicely. I'm actually working on his timing curve right now.

Wish I was there to see it. :(

As for the midrange boggle, I'm sure it'll be sorted out. From what I've read and seen, tuning is like writing a book: start with the beginning and the end and fill in the middle. So idle -> wot -> middle

Naw, I think the surging in the midrange is due to the wastgate mapping (and not timing) of the base map I had to start with. The basemap has the WGDC rows set up kind of retarded -- very fine resolution from 0-2800rpm and also too much resolution up high. As a result, there is a huge jump from 2800 - 4200rpms and with his GM BCS, the boost tends to wax and wane a bunch. I need to rescale the WGDC map to provide better resolution in the midrange. Normally I like to set around 400rpm jumps from row to row and have less resolution up high since boost tapers up there anyways.

I've already turned down his turbo dynamics gain, but I think I'll need to reduce the positive side of the proportional continuous scale to help reduce the lumps also.

Sounds like a Cobb map, which is a copy of the stock map. I couldn't make heads or tails of their resolution scale. It seemed kinda arbitrary to me.

They keep it fine down low (2300-2800 in like 150 rpm increments), but at 2800 they jump all the way to 4800. Sure, the ecu can interpolate, but you have the turbo coming on, there's midrange driving issues, etc.

    Tom,

I got a map from OSEcu yesterday, and i'm going to copy my current one so I have something to possibly compare to. I'll probably give you a ring sometime next week for some help.

Use paperclips. That's what I did until somebody bought me a flashblock. The paperclips are even easier to install! ;)

Yup, he added the definitions for an 06 2.5i rom I posted.

The fueling table is all confusing. It's like 14.7 for 95% of it.

C'mon, I know you want to tune a real fire breather like my dad's Iroc. Of course, where do you road tune a car capable of 400+ hp and 500+ tq? And every once in a while he talks supercharger. :ugh:

There is a request on Enginuity for the 2005 RS definition. Merchgod says it will be included in the next Enginuity upgrade. You'll have to be patient until then. Sorry.

I hate to tell you this, but don't expect too much out of a tune on your car. There's really only 1 volume knob for power in a small displacement n/a car -- timing. And that can only be increased so much before you run into trouble.

Fortunately for the rest of us turbo guys, we have 2 volume knobs for power; and one of them is a big knob, hehehehe.
