Does anyone know at what temp the ECU leaves "warm up mode"? I would assume it switches over at proper operating temp, but I don't know exactly where that is. I ask because I get **** performance when the engine is cold... I want to know how long I have to wait to punch it.
Probably in the owners manual, looked at some maps in open ecu can't figure it out. The maps I looked at don't seem to have the option to modify this point as far as I can figure, some one will probably come along and tell me how to do it.
After looking at your ROM, I would wait until at least 160*F before getting on it. Normal operating temp is around 180-190*F or so.
why would you want to beat on your car when it is still way under normal operating temp??? I can see it now... 2 weeks from now.. car is blowing smoke!! loss of power?? why??? all I did was rev it to 7k and full boost 1 min into driving in sub freezing temp!! I dont get it!!! HELP SOMEONE!! yep can see it now.....
well, it only takes like, 5-10mins to properly warm up anyway. that long of a wait won't kill you. Oh and if you don't know when, just watch the idle, when it's still warming up, it'll idle higher, when it drops back down to normal idle, it should be good to go.
