found out my neighbor had some kind of owl living in a woodduck house in their backyard. by the time I shot these it was getting kind of dark so these are all ISO 3200 (except the first - that one is ISO 1000). even then I was getting pretty slow shutter speeds (1/125) at f5.6. taken on 30D 400f/5.6L. not really the best shots, maybe I'll wait and see if he comes out a bit earlier in the evening to try and get a bit quicker shutter speed (oof)
the more i look at the last two the more they seem out of focus from #3. plus he looks angey that your taking photos of him in the last few. like "WTF?!.....stop that!" haha what lense is this? is it an "is" lense?
handholding a 400mm non IS lens with 1/125 i was surprised to even get 1 clear shot. and yes, the last two are definately oof
hmmm.. nice shots. that kinda looks like a screech owl. aka urban dive bombers. they will mob on your dome. tell your neighbor to walk near it around dusk and have the camera ready then too..
