This is a mazda based engine right? Ever mess with Zetecs or Duratecs? I have a friend building a 1.6 turbo CVH and is putting it in a MK1 fiesta (not festiva). He is planning to use the EECIV from a Merkur XR4Ti and a quarterhorse for tuning.
It is a mazda based engine, comes in the escorts 91-96 gt's and also certain mercury's and mazda's. Its a knock off of the gtx/gtr japan bp engines. Everything is compatible and and direct bolt on. Wonderfull 200+ hp to the wheels for dirt cheap. I have very little customizing knowledge of the zetec engines. Owned a zx2 but that was my dd. I have heard more about the fe bp eninge swaps producing 400 hp on stock internals. I was under the assumtion from hear say that the zetec's were not very reliable under boost.
