2011 WRX about 3,600 miles on it, was doing "some work" had to take airbox and battery out and now keep getting CEL p050A during cold starts. It's "cold start air idle control" but I can't find any good info about it. Any help would be highly appreciated, thanks a lot.

Does the air pump come one when you start the car?

Not sure. My fuel pump is making a lot of noise so I can't hear anything else under the hood. I just installed injectors and now have this CEL. However, it was not that cold before injectors install so I am not sure if I had this problem or not. This car never seen cold temp before.

The code is for the cold start air injection system. Pop the hood open start the car and quick get out and touch the air pump to see if it is running. I think it runs for 10-15 seconds after the start.

It seems to be working. I will double check all connections sinse I did remove it for injectors install. How important is it anyways?
