My friends 98 LGT ust threw a P1507 code. I have no clue what this is. Does anyone on here?

The car will shoot to high rpms (2.5k) at start up, higher than the high idle speed. After it warms up it drops back to normal. When it is in gear (auto) the RPMs seem alittle bit low. The car kind of chugs at low rpms under load, like in reverse. It stalled on her once taking off from a stoplight, but started right up again.

This sounds kind of like a vacuum or IAC problem. Does anyone have a different prognosis?

I'm guessing the IAC or the wiring for it.

Idle Control System Malfunction (Fail-Safe) (Subaru)

Right out of the obd-II code listing.

    Thanks all.

Is the Idle Control System Malfunction (Fail-Safe) (Subaru) different from the Idle Air Controller? or are they the same thing?
