ok so i did the spring wash but i never got to the way portion because i found all sorts of brown dots all over my car...at first i thought it was rust and freaked but it was on the bumpers too...i've tried all the cleaners i have around the house but none worked...i searched and found nothing but i was wondering what the best way of getting rid of this would be???
did you happen to use an engine cleaner or some other sort of caustic cleaner on or around your car? Do you have any pictures of the spots? Do the spots seem to bee on top of the paint or down into the paint? Most likely your "spots" could be buffed out or clay bared off
Either a chemical stain. Which I don't know how to get off. My mom had a huge one on her rear bumper and it disapeared after a week or so. Or it could be clayed off if it is something else.
i'm pretty sore it's ore from a dirt road in duluth i can scratch the spots off but there are tons of em..bug and tar doesn't work...where can i get a clay bar???
any auto store - autozone, checker, etc. ya, I had little black dots all over mine, claybar took them out
or you can use goo gone also, it works. this is what my buddy used at his shop he used to own down south.
Do you park near train tracks? If so, there is alot of iron dust in the air that gets embedded in the paint and can rust. Try clay bar and go over the spots a few times. Make sure you wash the car with dish soap before you claybar to get the old wax off the car.
you could wash with dish soap, or buy a clay bar kit which comes with stuff that takes the wax off. I'm sure that some how it is better than dish soap.
