panic button 07

    anybody else have a problem with their 07 style key fob setting off their panic button at 3 in the morning when its in your pocket? any other remedys other then taking it out of your pocket(because i know ill forget). i dont think im earning points with the neighbors

    Try an 02-05 key fob, just as bad.

    It's not the keyfob, it's the fact that it's in your pocket. I .. you know what, that's it. That's the best advice i can give you. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR DAMN KEYFOB.

    wow, just wondering if you could disable the panic button. i realize i can take it out of my pocket. its not like it happens every night, its only happened a couple times.

    Ok i'm sorry, i didn't mean to be so harsh, but it's like ... it's in your pocket, to me, that seems like it's obviously not the fob's problem - especially if you fall asleep on it :biggrin: :laugh:

    So, to answer your question, i can't think of anything short of removing the fob from your keys :(

    thats allright, even tho it was the first thing i blamed it on when it was happening lol, also fixed

    They must have had some complaints from subie owners, or they decided to redesign the keys. I havent seen a key fob from pre 08, but on my 09 key fob the panic button is a little square on the back of the key, and its recessed. Seems like it'd be pretty hard to accidentally hit it.
