I am about to purchase some goodies on Nasioc and the seller only wants to use google checkout. He has 43 total feedbacks all positive. Is there anything wrong with paypal? I've never had any problems....

I've personally never had problems with paypal. I do know a few folks who have issues in the past with paypal.
I rarely use Google checkout, but no issues either.
If the seller wants Google checkout, I don't really see anything wrong with that.

Thanks guys! I think I'm just scared of change lol. There is no reason to not trust a stellar feedback, esp. from 43 peps.

Does google charge less for transactions? That could be a reason why s/he wants to use it instead of Paypal.

After the shady things that I have read about paypal, I have no problems using google checkout. The shady connection between paypal and ebay is the main reason that I try to not use either one of them. I haven't been burnt with paypal yet, but I have family that has. I have had good luck with google so far (aka, haven't been screwed yet), but I am guessing that if you use something all the time, it will bite you sooner or later.

it got to the point where it's almost impossible to buy something on ebay and don't use paypal. If I sell something I try to avoid it. If it's under $100 though I use it because money orders are not time/cost effective.

Google checkout fees used to be less but they are the same as PayPal now.
