I was just wondering if the numbers on Cobb's website are true, can i really expect 0-60 times of just 4.9 and quarter miles of 13.9 on just a stock wrx? And 0-60's of 4.6 and quarter miles of 13.4 with a turbo back? Typically i would never go from a dig because i care to much about my transmission but I was wondering if these numbers were accurate because they seem like a huge reductionf rom the stock 5.7-9 0-60 and quarter mile of 14.5 Just looking for some input before i drop the $$$!!!

sure they're accurate!;) with the right tune, right driver, right conditions, etc etc etc...

I have cobb, love it. The increase in performance is worth the money. However, think of what you want out of your car over the long haul before investing in cobb or any other management system.

Yes. Tuning and a TBE will do wonders. I have an STI so it's a little different but it's got a Vishnu TBE and a Xede. Dyno is close to 50 hp over stock at the wheels and that's on Vishnu's conservative dynometer. I can tell the difference for sure.

Sort of off topic, but related. Is there that much difference between stage 2 and protune? (don't mean to hijack thread).

^^I'm going to find out shortly. I just ordered a PDX map online and they told me I'll get around 290WHP with their map. 276WHP to 290WHP for $150 is worth it if you'd ask me.

The increased responsiveness on the gas pedal alone makes it worth it enough for me.

And from what I know the wagon and sedan are the same exact cars inside so its all the same.

About $10 per horse. Hell yeah! At that rate I'd drop $2K for 200 :)

You are going to like the PDX maps, trust me. The Cobb ones suck, imho.

Cobb does admit they leave some extra headroom in their maps for safety reasons and recommends protuning to get the best results. The PDX maps are essentially protuned maps from other people's cars with the same mods you have, so they'd natually be better, but not the level of safety that cobb maps have (which are oversafe in a lot of people's opinions)

I have heard of cars going boom running off te shelf PDX maps with the same mods as the car the map was originally made for, so its not 100% rock solid, but knowing that, I still wouldn't hesitate to use their maps.
