Hello all, I am finalizing a private buy sat..2005 legacy gt, satin white, black leather. I dont have any good pics but i wanted to make a thread lol.
Welcome fellow lgt owner! this place is better than legacygt.com if you want tint flawless front end does a good job on tint, there are a few good places other people can chime in. We have a scoobies for boobies cruise to st.cloud next weekend sign up in the thread its for a good cause .http://mnsubaru.com/threads/10-21-scoobies-4-boobies-event-cruise-and-raffle-st-clould-subaru.39551/. Bring it out to a tues meet (check events section) so I can check her out. any pics? and might I ask what you paid for it?
sounds good already planning on the S4B cruise. I am paying 15k... its high i know. But I have been looking for a while now and after having been dissapointed with some spec-b's and missing out on a few good ones im just gonna jump on this one since i love it. it also comes with the accesspost and winter tires so thats convenient. The stage 2 i would have done myself so that doesnt take away value to me. My crappy toyota is need need of a new clutch so thats money im not losing if i buy the car as well. also the used car prices suck right now.
Can you? Sure, make certain the seller has your story backed up, in case the DMV follows up (unlikely). Should you, well, thats another matter....
Good deal. Welcome to the LGT fam. Signal-to-noise ratio is better on MNsubaru than legacygt.com, but there is still a lot of good stuff (walkthroughs, etc.) to be found over there after you wade through it all.
I do believe I know this car.. http://mnsubaru.com/threads/fs-2005-legacy-gt-limited-34k-miles.34707/
Welcome, I paid 13k for my 05 3 years ago with 58 on the odo (Was a steal back then when most were 17-18k) Stage 2 is nice and fun, yes but stage 3 is way better Glad to see more lgt's
i am looking for something over the MN limit tho? will he do this? i am thinking 35% and 30% on the back. enough to see a person inside but not quite their face
also..silly question but i am just thinking ahead. What color license plate should i get?? i know u can donate a little for the Green, or red or pink plate
i got it sat and absolutely love it. the short shift and knob is soooo solid and its super fast. (i am coming from a 1992 economy toyota). my one complaint is that if u get on the turbo theres sometimes a strong exhaust smell in the cabin. i dont know if this is because its running rich and i should get a protune or small gasket leak. i also had the stock downpipe in the trunk yesterday so that didnt help lol. also, is it easy to adjust the headlight level? it has 6000k hids i dont want to be that guy heres an interior shot ill get some exterior when i dip the foglight trim
Search the forums. There's a guy on here named Ben who will do your whole car for 180 and will do it less than legal light emit off the books. I had him do my LGT @ 40%. Kinda wish I went 35 but that's neither here nor there. One of his shops is in Eden Prairie, he works out of other shops as well. Ceramic tint with lifetime warranty. Mines held up well going on almost 2 years
Headlight level I think is a 8mm socket behind the headlight somewhere(Haven't touched it in a while now, so may be wrong) Is it catted or catless?
catless cnt, perrin upipe i think. i feel like its running real rich and has a pretty distinct snowmobile like smell. should i get a protune?? right now its cobb ots stage 2
Catless will smell but I haven't smelled anything in or outside of the car. Yeah, get a tune either Nuke(Road tune) or Ron(Dyno tune) I wouldn't get a tune until you're stage 3, that way you won't be paying twice for a tune I was stage 2 for about 6 months and now stage 3 I could of saved a couple hundred bucks by going straight to stage 3 and just had 1 tune but do what you want
Don't flash a Stage 1 with the DP on there...keep it at Stage II. Do you know where the car was tuned before you bought it? It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to have Nuke check out the tune and fine tune (no pun intended ) everything. In the long run, it's worth the small amount of money to have peace of mind of a nice tune. I work right in that area, so I'm sure I'll be seeing you around...I typically fill up at that BP over lunch.
Nuke is a member on here who will do an opensource road tune, you can PM him to get more info. He has tuned a lot of cars from MNsubaru and many people will vouch for him, including myself. He even tolerates my n00b questions
I used to live right in that area, I was in the apartments right next to Wendy's. I still live in GV, but more towards Douglas and Duluth. My station is at Winnetka and GVR. I am guessing you are on the south side of 55?
nope i live on plymouth ave by Gen Mills. i drive by the station all the time to avoid winnetka light if its red
I will keep an eye out for you then, if you see a black SHO and the driver is waving it will most likely be me.
2010. I sold my 2011 WRX this weekend and picked it up. First time in almost 10 years I haven't had a Subaru in the driveway.
Don't bother with Nuke cause he's not gonna touch your ride with a 12 foot pole until you square things with badbennyb. And you can take that to the bank.
Very well.....Oh and they will, lots and lots of it sunny side up and sunny side down over and over again and again...love you long time. Enjoy! hehehe
I did have a leak! Downpipe bellmouth part has a gash in it for some reason. getting that fixed then NUke tune
