    Porting useful?

I would kind of think you'd be inclined to build it up to something else (19T) or step to a different turbo to get any significant changes.

I can't say I've researched it personally but my brother's gone through several turbos with his Forester, and porting the TD04 was never really a beneficial thing to do. Even when he had it rebuilt to a 19T, he didn't opt to port it. I don't know. All I can suggest is read up on the idea and see if it will actually achieve what you want it to.

I agree. I don't think porting of a TD04 is worthwhile. Every car I've tuned with them one has lost a decent amount midrange torque and only gained a bit of topend. It's my opinion that with the TD04 you want all the midrange torque you can get, as the topend will be limited by the size of the turbo regardless of what you do.

I have td04 sitting on my shelf all lonely and sad and so I thought about doing pnp and E85 tune. Just trying to see if I could get as much power with stock turbo and 2.5L. I might just end up selling it anyway
