Hey, i am looking for a motor for my dads car. if you wanna know why see my other thread in the mods/tech section. so heres the deal i am looking for a EJ22 (NA) preferably phsae 1 to replace the one that is dying in my dads car. does anyone have one of these availabe or sittign around? does anyone know if they have any ej22s at u-pull? EDIT: \/ Dual port exhuast.
you will need to specify if its older or newer then 96, because they switched to single port exhaust in 96, phaze 1 lasted all the way to 99
So you heard the ticking and decided to replace the block? Did you get a better diagnosis, or are you just throwing money at it?
i am trying to diagnos the problem, but its always a good idea to plan ahead. if it is a rod knock or something similarly sever i will need a new block, and although they are plentiful they dont grow on trees. so i am asking around to see whats availabe.
if its a tick then its not a rod. but if you dont know the difference between a tick and a knock then you should bring it to someone who does, check the sparkplug wires, they could be arcing to somthing and be making a ticking sound, thats what happend to moxy's rex
