Hoping one of you electrical gurus can help me with this. My passenger side window decided to quit working on me today but only when I'm using the driver's side switch. The other driver's side switches all work and the other windows all work on their own switch. Just wondering if I should be chasing wires in the driver's side door or if I need new electronics for the driver's side switches or is further investigation needed? This is in my 96 Legacy L. Thanks! Pete
Im in agreement. If the pass. side switch is working, the drivers door switch is probably bad. Power from the passenger side still flows through the drivers door switch, but the contacts on that particular switch are more than likely bad.
Driver door switch. You should be able to check power coming out of the switch. Like Nate said, I have replaced a bunch of them on fords. Russ
Checked it out...its not the switch so it has to be a loose wire. I put the new one in and the switch didn't work tried the old one and magically it worked again. Unplugging and plugging in the other set of switches must've twitched something back. Anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram for this?
