Ok, i am buying springs here as soon as i can decide on what ones. Do i get teh Prodrive springs which have awesome reviews on them or save the $100 and go with the progress springs? anyone have any experiance with either? These will be run on my stock struts, for now; not sure how long but for a little while.

The above poll was supposed to be PRODRIVE not perrin

I had the Progress's on my WRX and they killed my stock shocks after about 10k. I had the Progress rear sway bar also and loved it.

ouch thats quick but you still voted to go with teh progress. I guess thats anouther good reason to get the perrrin's they supposedly supposed to work perfect with the stock struts

wow, i have the same dilemma. The drop/price on Progress is attractive but from reading on nasioc it seems as if they are not very good for the stock struts.

I guess you'll have to be the guinea pig now. :p

guess your question then should be is the $100 worth spending to not buy $200 - $400 in struts in a year and labor on top to fix..?@?@

    springs

prodrives. I installed them on my 03 a couple months ago and the ride is really decent. I left my factory struts in place.

no lowered spring is going to wear well on your stock struts. I'd keep that in mind when purchasing.

I wouldnt sell my stock suspension afterwards as tein coilovers have rust problems and they would be very unsuitable for winter. So unless you feel comfortable changing suspensions twice a year i wouldn't do it.

also, the cheap price probably means they need rebuilding or are already rusting.

Alright one last question before i make my decision. Anyone heard any reviews
+ or - on the cobb tuning sport springs? They are also advertised to work with stock struts

What are the best struts to use w/ Prodrive springs if stock ones won't work?

^imo agx's are nice for how (relatively) cheap they are. Id imagine the gr2s would be a decent (slightly better than, but still considered a replacement for, stock) and economical choice also. I had both of these with neuspeed sports (sprung ~25% stiffer than stock) for a couple years on my last car.

Cobb springs look promising but isnt the drop almost and inch lower front and back?
