sounds great with new exhaust work, ahhh grounding out starters with a wrench, that brings back fond memories-wait, no it doesn't, f u pos starter, ok thanx i feel better...
Haha! Yeah, I managed to do it with the master cylinder. It went something like... "do I need to unplug the battery? Nah, I'll just be careful with the wrench... [15 minutes later after a few close calls with the propane torch] Sweet, finally got this stripped flare nut off, now let's just pull this sucker ou.... Ah! Damnit!"
Finally got around to working on it after letting it sit for a couple few months lol. Got the heater working, wired in a universal fan, put in a fixed back seat, swapped over the winter tires, replaced a few fuses, and fixed some wiring. I almost forgot how much fun this little POS is lol Vid to come as soon as I can get it off my phone.
It was at the first Isanti rallyx this summer. I'll probably have it at the rallyx school in december and I plan to have it at as many Quattro club ice events as possible this winter. Thanks bud. Swing by any time and take it for a spin. It's a riot! Especially in the snow.
Hopefully both. I want suspension for the rs and will probably put the interior back in and move some weight around. Looking to do plugs and coilpacks on the turbo this winter then flash it and lower it in the Spring.
Not bad so far. Heater warms up REAL fast lol. I'm getting sick of cutting myself getting in and out of the car though. Also, something, like carpet, to keep all the dirt (on the inside) from flying around would be nice too!
That's how the dirt is getting in! Rallyx was pretty hilarious... playing in the snow got a bit dangerous... I'll be damned if I'm going to vacuum tho!
Still can't get the first vid to work but got a quick 30sec vid to work. Sorry about the sound, it's off a phone and the car has no interior right now. Did some testing today to make sure the cooling system works and a to make sure a few odds and ends stay together and still work: I'm happy with mine! That one feels like a sport bike with the 9lb and with the tach reading too high!!!
Fixed her up yesterday and took her for a drive. I forgot how stock it drives (minus the gobs of torque and throttle response). I think this powerplant would be a lot of fun supercharged and in a smaller, lighter, rwd shell. looks like it might be a different buyer now
