Does anyone know of any project tracking websites / forum threads that are very in-depth? I'm looking for as many examples as I can find of projects other people are doing that have started from stock. I googled a few minutes and was pretty disappointed - poked around MNSubaru and NASIOC a bit, but I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.

The reason I'm asking is because I would like to bring my wagon up to the same power level as my old STi, but it seems there are so many ways of going about doing this (and SO MANY PARTS FROM WHICH TO CHOOSE. First world problems) that I wouldn't know where to start.

If this is a stupid thread with questions that have been answered a million times before, feel free to pelt me with rotten fruit before running me out on a rail! :)

Thanks in advance for any insight that you guys can provide!

There are a few good ones out there on Nasioc, DirtyImpreza, etc. It helps a lot if you have an idea of the part(s) you're looking to research. To get your initial bearings, I would highly recommend engaging one of the local builders/tuners and getting a personalized set of recommendations for possible paths and specific parts for your individual goals. Start with the type of driving/performance/reliability/etc you're looking for and go from there.

Hmm... Not a lot of 06/07 WRX wagon projects. Most of them on dirtyimpreza are rally-related, and I need to daily drive. Did I buy the wrong year? :p

Years aren't going to matter as much as you may think. There are a few little differences that local tuners could help call out for you. I would step back a little bit and look at the overall approach, goals and components used as opposed to individual MY fitments.

Apparently I should be loathing my '04 XT's steering rack. Odd that in 6+ years of driving a Forester, I hadn't noticed that the steering was pure evil.
