I tried searching but couldn't find anything. I am getting some B4 badges for my Legacy. What is the best way to put badges on a vehicle with out worrying about them coming off? Thanks!!
They aren't new. They are coming off a 1998 B4 Liberty in a junkyard in Misawa, Japan. Anything special besides making sure the area I'm putting it on being clean?
Listen to Phi11, also, 3M makes a label and trim/emblem adhesive double sided tape that seems to work well. We use it at Lexus all the time. Trimming it is a pain tho.
Make sure to clean the badges well with a googone or some thing similar. Get all the old adhesive off before putting on any new stuff.
after cleaning with a solvent like googone, make sure you take the solvent of the badge. just use some rubbing alcohol on it.
Awesome thanks for all the tips and helpers! Where can I procure some of the 3M label and trim/emblem adhesive double sided tape? Home Depot? O'Rielly? Any tips on trimming? Or just go at it with a Xacto knife or scissors? I'm waiting to see if the guy over there can find my a better L7 grill w/ more of the chrome on it. When I get the badges on I will post pics!
Just about any auto parts store, Napa, Autozone, OReilly's, Checker, whatever. And yes, Xacto knife works the best IMO.
