i'm putting this block back together and notice that on stock oem sti pistons and cp pistons from this thread last post(http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1370626&highlight=piston+ring+gap) the oiling ring with the bent portion goes and faces up on the upper portion of the oiling ring land...but on these wiseco stock size pistons, there are no slots on the upper portion to line the bent portion of the oil ring into...so where do i put it?

The lip of the bottom oil ring faces down into one of the holes. You should put the lip on the bottom side of the piston (side which will be facing the ground).

I'll scan the diagram and post it up for you, but there should have been directions that came with the pistons....actually they package 1 with each ring set per piston.

edit: glad I double checked, loost like they want it up top.

I remember there being a notch for the end of the oil ring.

One thing, that I feel is easily overlooked, is to make sure your ring gaps are on the top side of the piston. If they are on the bottom, its not the end of the world, but you get a little oil smoke on startup once in a while due to oil seeping out on the bottom.
