If my brake pulse when they are heated up a bit, but not when they are cold, will turning my rotors help this from happening?

Yes I know I need new rotors, but I'm not going to do it now.

You're not talking about the anti-lock brakes engaging, are you?
If your rotors are warped and pulsing, they'll get worse over time. All you gotta do is get them turned for $~6 each. It won't kill you, it's just annoying. :p

No it's not the anti locks kicking in, I just figure I'm not going to waste time or money if it's not going to help me out.

And where can I get rotors turned for $6 I'd love to know, the damn place by me wants 15  I could handle the $10 they used to charge, but come on....

we charge $15 too... if we have to lift the car, remove the wheels , remove calipers, remove rotor, prepare rotors so it sits exact on the lathe, then machine the rotor then follow process backwards then why are people such cheap arses.... hey I know... you come clean my house, mow my lawn and wash my car and I'll buy ya dinner... McDonalds Meal deal is good...

dont be cheap... do things right... but that being said make sure when you pay a price it is for quality work...

The checkers on University ave and east of Snelling ave in Saint Paul turns rotors for $6 each. And in relation to it, the Napa on 7th and Arcade in St. Paul turns flywheels for $~40.

yeah.. checkers.... hmmm ASE certified experts huh.. well I know most the guys at my local checker and I doubt any of them are qualified or certified... I would like to know if they measure them to spec so they dont go under minimum... dangerous dealings... good stuff if they are legit.. but makes me wonder... oh yeah and YOU walk them in.. they dont pull off your wheels.. so I guess $6 is doable.. we do $10 for walk in if the specs are ok....

Yeah, Nathan I think he means walk in's. You don't need to defend your prices to us. (or at least me) I think that what you said is more than fair.

Yeah I was talking about walking in rotors in hand, but if you can do it if I drive in for $15 A rotor... it would probably be worth and extra whopin' ( sacrasm ) $10 ( sarcasm ) and hell either way I'd rather give you the money. Heck maybe I'll just bring the rotors in, since I'm going to do my own brakes someday soon enough anyways, might as well get used to taking them apart.

So the answer is then that this will help eliminate the pulsing????

usually... problem is as you machine you thin them out.. which opens them up to warp again much easier.. but it is the cheaper way instead of replacing them all the time..

I wasnt trying to jump on you about the pricing... just illustrating for peole that sometimes there is more to doing something then they think... just cause you own a nice sports car doesnt mean ya know how to work on them... :)

you can re-warp a rotor 100m out my door.. if they get hot then wet... they will warp...
