Hey guys I am looking at getting the 06' Brake Caliper kit for my 04. The guys I am getting it from said that it comes with the OE brake pads. They said that they would throw in HAWKs instead if I wanted, but they don't come with backing plates so people prefer the OE ones. Do I need the backing plates?

    Thanks,
    Brake Noob

Do you have wheels that will fit over the brakes? Stock '04 wheels won't, btw....

    hehe...^ W00t w00t

Hey Nate, talk to Brian or Erik in Morries BP or MKTA...they might be able to get you a cheaper price on them 06 conversion brake caliper...I think u can still use your stock rotors, (but not 100% sure) as far as the pads go...see how much credit they will give u if you do not get any pads...I recommend getting the pads I PM'ed u on instead of the Hawks, plus I think it doesn't cost much more for it...

^^ awesome, I will have to talk with them on it. I beleive it was the Endless is what you said. As far as rotors go the fronts are the same, but I believe the rears are different.

wel...they're not fancy 4pots or anything..... large 2 pots w/ a 12.3" rotor... STi's rotors are 12.7"......they're not too far apart. Sure...2pots only...but....the rotor is massive.

But if you like the pretty 4pots...they're fine too... just not as big of a rotor.
