I have an old rear limited slip diff from a turbo legacy, I'm swapping that LSD unit into another diff with the 4.111 crown gear and 4.111 pinion gear. I noticed the little stub axles on the LSD unit are odd, and if I took them out to put my 02 RS axles into it it wont work. My question is do I leave the stubs in, and find old legacy axles? are they too much of a different length to work properly? also I found a picture of the axles that would fit perfectly but I'm not sure which subaru had them. With some searching around someone said they might be from an 00-01 2.5RS (limited slip) but I'm not sure. Here's a picture I found of the axles that look like the stubs that were in the diff. (see the funny guy on the left?)
