LoL you're funny Nathan. Yep, my is whining. It only whines when I accelerate. Doesn't seem to whine when I decelerate. Was that the same issue with you Nathan?

pretty much..... when you are under acceleration (load) it puts more pressure ont he teeth... when you back off it sacks off although they still contact the force isnt slamming them together so much....

Notice mine gets whinier at times, it's ususally time to rotate or replace some tires, it seems to be much quieter afterwards.

I am well aware of what a diff sounds like when it goes out - as far as the rear is concerned, well ... maybe it sounds different than a front but I donno. If it starts screaming - you're in for it ;)

basically, my front is going (gone practically) and i'm waiting to swap the other one in, it sounds like a banshee ...

great..... but cost me $800 just for the center... then I had to get seals and bearings.... unless you find a good deal, then $1200+is whata Quaife costs...

Grayson Subaru on Nasioc I think sells them or is a dealer or something...

well in my experiences. before my rear diff broke down, it kinda sound like rapily"tack tack tack" and the more I accelerated it when faster and lounder. Until i hit the boost and GAME OVER.
