I was doing research on adjustable control arms for my 02 wrx when I stumbled upon this list of recalls for the 02 impreza. http://www.motortrend.com/cars/2002/subaru/impreza/recalls/ basically my question is, would I be able to take advantage of the control arm recall? Or should I just forget about it.
You'll be able to take it in for the recall, yes. But they won't give you any money towards adjustable arms if that's what you mean by "taking advantage" of the recall.
Yeah, bring it in and have them look at it. They use a punch to test the metal strength. My 04 wagon passed, so it doesn't affect all vehicles in that range. I dont think I was charged anything.
I just got off the phone with white bear subaru and apparently their computers are down so im awaiting a call back. But my front end is pretty rusty so lets hope they fail and I get new ones! quite odd that the only rust on my car is in the front end framing but I cant complain.
