Looking for my first "campaign" shooter game for the Xbox 360, choices are Black Ops 2, MW3, Battlefield 3 or Far Cry 3. I am mostly interested in campaign game play and don't really care for the futuristic **** but would entertain the idea of Black Ops 2 if I could easily look past the new age weaponry. I know I am behind the trend but I haven't really found an interest in the shooter genre again till recently. As a younger me I played the early Rainbow Six games, Project I'm Going In and some of the Delta Force titles for the PC. I am more or less looking for games most like those series of games. Seems like Rainbow Six Patriots may never come out and Battlefield 4 or MW4/Ghosts wont be out till 4th quarter 2013 and I don't want to wait that long.

BO2 doesn't have all crazy weapons. Most of them are modern or very close to modern. Granted I only play online. There aren't laser guns and alien sludge everywhere. Online is what you would expect a modern gun to be. Check out a wiki page for weapon layouts.

Fc3 has a awesome story. I have it and am currently not playing it if you would like to borrow it. Online play requires a passkey that I already used so you would only be able to do story mode.

I have boarderlands 2 I am not playing. It is more fantasy, but a fun game and good campaign. I'd sell it for cheap.

Yeah, and it is one of those games where the more power you have in your hardware, the more insane you can get it to look. Wife's game rig recently got the first video card upgrade we've done in years, as games just haven't pushed the envelope on hardware lately. And she's on the big 55" LED tv in the livingroom. Every time we take a Borderlands breather, and I walk out to the livingroom, I am stunned at how much more insane this game looks on her newer stuff than it does on my 5 year old PC.
We abuse the ever loving crap out of BL2. I have 9 characters, 5 of which have been through the first and second playthrough, I have one that we pushed through playthrough 3's story missions in the first few days after it was released. It's one of those games where the main story is good for about 10-12 hours of fun the first time through. The side missions are about 3 times more fun. Then the endgame stuff is never ending grinding. If you like trying to find rare loot and killing the same dude over and over to try to get it, then you'll enjoy yourself forever. But it is definitely more fun with other people than it is solo. It was made for coop play.

Meh people change. If there's no issues currently I don't mind. My first and only interaction was him giving me some free parts. Not a bad person in my book. It may not be the same situation but pre-mid twenties you would of thought I was a different person than I am today.

If that was your experience, good for you. No sarcasm with that statement, either.

Some of us have had different experiences with that backstabbing little prick and feel differently.

Thanks for all the replies guys! My roommate has the new Bioshock game but I wasn't all that interested after watching the gameplay. I may be a little too picky. Right now it is between MW3, Far Cry 3 and the "newest" Hitman. Also thanks for the insight on Borderlands 2, it doesn't seem like something I would play for hours but I appreciate others input in the shooter/action genre.

    Hi Brian Shorten

"Backstabbing little prick" eh? Well in order for me to stab you in the back that would imply that we were friends or at least acquaintances, Brian. Which we were neither so I guess I am not following you. In fact I did not and do not care for you.

Those who don't know, one of the reasons I was banned was making my opinion known on a FS thread. Which at the time I was under the IMPRESSION that Brian was "flipping" a wagon after buying it rather inexpensively from a fellow member being deployed.

    http://mnsubaru.com/threads/gi-my-02-rex-wagon.26379/ Original FS thread

http://mnsubaru.com/threads/gi-2002-wrx-wagon-psm-5mt-133-xxx-miles.27017/ A month later Brian posts it for sale for over 2k more.

At the time it didn't seem morally right but then again I was just a punk kid.

Brian, I was maybe unable to post for 6 months to a year tops. Been lurking this forum for years, sorry you just caught on. Its not like I've been hiding ... http://mnsubaru.com/threads/my-re-introduction.34307/

Mr Tran, It was nice to meet you. Glad those parts went to a good home. I think you got my JDM hazard button, which I am envious of you for. Which reminds me! You still own me a couple rounds for the button :p haha

I was a die hard COD guy. I never really liked any shooters since MW1 came out online. I have to say BL2 takes 20 - 30 mins to get into, but damn it sucks you in. I have to say the action and comedy really make for a great game. It won a ton of awards for that reason in 2012.

Actually you gave that to Nuke. I still owe you a round anyways. Those clips saved my ass a couple times after that big winter and some of mine popped out. Especially since the dealership over charges for them. Anyways you might like Battlefield 3. It's a little ages now but worth checking out.

Oh, I see. All those opportunities that you had to let me know how you truly felt in person at Firestone, Chipotle or any other social setting that we were in together over the years and you were just nice enough to come over and talk to me like we were buddies. You had a couple too many appletinis one night and decided to make some noise about me selling a car that was none of your business, and apparently was a big deal only to you. Maybe you could run your version of morality by Christian and let me know what he thinks. Last I heard, you owe him for a speeding ticket. Also, I put a fair amount of money and time back into that wagon before it left, I love how you posted the links to the FS threads though. Had my red wagon not come back up for sale, I'd have kept the silver wagon. As it was, the buyer was happy with the price and the car and even bought the red one two years later. (Thanks Sean!)

Sorry I missed your "re-introduction" thread over two years ago. My ****up radar must be failing me as I get older. Don't worry, you're back on it now.

Bought MW3 and Hitman: Absolution. It was tough decision but I think I will be happy with it. Both games together only set me back $25 so win lose or draw I'll be happy.

I'm just getting in to these myself because my son is getting to be old enough to play them with me :D . I'm mostly online, but my son likes going through all the campaigns too. You might also consider finding a copy of MW2, as I hear that it is generally regarded as a better than MW3, at least for campaign. You should be able to find it for cheap.
