http://picasaweb.google.com/emailtilex/SubaruImpreza22LRSFACELIFT/photo#5070813949551349362 So I just bought this and will be waiting for it to arrive via transport from New Jersey. Front end re done with RS sheetmetal

    2000 Impreza L AWD 2.2L

    5spd
    Mods:
    Intake
    Tenzo R catback
    WhiteLine Lowering springs
    KYB GR2 Struts
White Line Sway Bars Front and rear
    WRX wheels
Exedy Stage 2 Clutch (16,000 miles on it)

    Car has 86,xxx miles

Next mod suggestions? I realize 90k maintenance just around the corner. I am not looking for more speed from the car...if my kids behave themselves it should be theirs before the end of the year.

You CAN go 18. I wouldn't. MN Roads and thin sidewalls make for an uncomfortable ride and thrashed sidewalls. Sure, some people like it/tolerate it, but me... Unless I'm using the 18s for track-day only, I'm not buying them. At least not for my Subaru. My other car came stock with 18s.

Winter tyres, especially if you're going to be giving it to the kids during the winter time and already have plans for some 17s in the spring. And have the brakes inspected; they've been modded, so make sure it was done right.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. I think this is a great car for the kids. A monumentally better choice than a factory fresh STi. Just enough oomph to get them out of trouble if needs be, but not nearly enough to get them in to any serious trouble.

Nice find. I am not sure if there is enough power to get them out of too much trouble. if you get into a slide, its basically countersteer, floor it, pray you have enough power to pull out of it.

I whole heartedly agree with the statement about snow tires. maybe LegacyPGT will do a nokian GB again this year. seriously snow tires help so much.

As for the wheels you can fit some big wheels in there. 18s will fit, i believe 19 or possibly 20s will fit. but why you would want to go that big is beyond me. as for tires. it depends on how much work you want to do. you can fit 245s with some serious rolling. or with some trimming and STIFF springs 285s ;-). otherwise i think the ordinary people stock at 235s which require a decent amount of rolling but nothing serious.

Bad idea. It's difficult to tell for sure from the picture, but those look to be Kumho ASX tyres. If so, the compound's going to set rock solid during a cold MN winter, and siping won't help you then. Winter tyres have a different compound to better deal with the cold. If you're going with two sets of wheels/tyres, put decent winter tyres on there and keep the kids safe.

    I have wing envy :(

    Looks clean and tidy.

I just noticed the swaybar in the picture of the exhaust looks red. If it's a Whiteline one, shouldn't it be blue or silver ?
