Recommend me a Detailer

I mauled it over and I decided I don't want to get into detailing myself. The money outlay in "product" is very high and, well, I'm a lazy ass person and I know it. Basically, I'm looking for some place good to take my car to.

I'm not a big shine whore, I just want to have some protection for the winter and have a good base that I can get car washes over. I want some place that's detailed enough to clean my door jams and whatnot and do a real wax job. Basically I want it thoroughly cleaned more than anything else.

Any recommendations? Weekend hours would be very helpful. Yes, I'm open to taking it to a person for an afternoon too if they're close (I'm in Minnetonka).

I set up an appointment for Thursday with them. They're letting me use a loaner for free for the day so I could do it during the week. Sounds like a great shop, thanks for the rec!

I'll post some feedback and perhaps some pictures They say they include detailing the engine bay and even the area around your spare.

 

The pics in my for sale thread were taken immediately after the detailing, around the corner in their car park. Yes, they spiff up the engine bay, too.

Ah, i didn't realize it was so recent.
What did they charge?

 

This was a full bumper to bumper deal - $175. We talked about a few a la carte bits, but once we added them up, it came to about $145. I figured for the extra $30, we might as well just do the lot. I really wish I'd taken the time to do it a lot sooner, so I could've enjoyed my shiny sparkly car, instead of taking it straight home and parking it in the garage until it sold

I don't know if this will work or not, but they left a discount voucher in my car when the job was done. The voucher was only valid for some period during the winter, and of course I'll never get to use it. But, it might mean that they're more willing to haggle on the price, as it sounds like they get less business in the winter months. It never hurts to ask, right ?
