Looking for an exhaust place to install a catback. I'm in the process of ordering one with all the gaskets needed for the install. Any great local ones at reasonable prices? Thanks!
What area are you looking? Also, cat back install is super easy. 2 bolts, or maybe 4 if it bolts where the axle back connects, and some exhaust hangars. Good way to save a little money and get your hands dirty
Burnsville or Eagan area. I can drive to the twin cities if the price is right. If it's too much, will try to borrow tools to wrench on it myself. Heard the bolts were a big pain. Thanks guys!
Cutoff wheel. New bolts. Drink of choice. Honestly, hardest part for me on exhaust swaps is the hangers, especially with aftermarket poly.
Not sure about that area for shops. What size cat back are you getting? If it's a 3 inch, you'll need a 2.5 to 3 inch adapter. GrimmSpeed sells them.
2016 wrx. I will be getting a 3 inch exhaust. Debating if I should just go nameless axle backs. Not sure if I will do more engine modding after the warranty expires. So I hear some 3 inch catbacks seal fine without the adapter and others you need it. I will get the adapter just to be on the safe side. Do I need to buy a Subaru oem donut ring/seal or reuse the one I have?
On a 2016 chances are pretty good you'd be able to reuse it as it hasn't had time to rust and break down yet. However, you could always buy one to have on hand just in case. Return it if you don't use it.
Also. Disregard my cutoff wheel suggestion. That new, that thing should just come right apart. Just do yourself a favor and put anti-sieze on them.
