$500 a side sounds expensive for "repairing," why not ust get a new used set of heads?

well, i'm not sure on whats wrong with it yet, because the motor isn't out at the moment. i'm guessing the motor won't start because of bent valves. so was looking around for parts. this guy named david offer to do it for 500 a piece, sounded a little to much to me too.

Try Matt at B & A Cylinderhead in Blaine (763) 427-7535. He does very good work at a reasonable price.

+1 Matt is awesome. Did all the machining on my cylinder walls, balanced my pistons/rods and did my head work. Awesome prices too.

Matt might be a small shop, but he knows his stuff. Some of the best head work in this area has come from him.

You should probably get an idea of what is wrong before you go spending money. Especially $1000 worth. To just replace and re-seat all the valves in the head is not that hard to do, it's just time consuming to do it properly.

yeah your right drifitin240, and i would do it myself but don't want anything else to go wrong, because this is my dd.

i think i'll give matt a call, but it's kind of far.

Take it too Matt over David. You can even ask Matt if there is any one in your area he would recommend. All I can say is I have known Matt for many years(over 10), and as a machinist I can vouch for his work, it is top notch.

yeah...matt is a cool guy...but when he cleaned my heads, (02 wrx) he didn't do it right and RS motors had to do it again...and he wouldn't reimburse me and i had to pay another shop to fix matt's work...
