So wouldn't this be one of the good reasons to travel all the way to Chicago to get tuned. It takes a lot of skill to get a subie done right and if we want it done "right", we have to make the trip. I am willing to pay the extra dollar and make the trip if I can leave knowing that I have a solid tune that supports the mods/money I have already put into the car. I am always paranoid about having something not setup right when I go to the dyno. What kind of checklists are good to go through before a tune... oil, air leaks, couple bottles of stp octane booster in the tank of holiday gas ;-) .......?
Here is a pretty thorough (I think) checklist for a pretune. http://www.cobbtuning.com/info/?ID=3474 Some good points in there... Also, nobody really answered my question on the gas...or did I answer that myself?
hey guys well i sent jorge an e-mail and he said that hes up at RS from time to time and that he could tune it there if a few local guys needed their cars tuned as well. I guess i'm trying to see if any of you would want to head over there some time in december and get all our cars tuned up? he didnt say how many he could do so i guess its kinda first come first serve if your interested at all. LMK!!
