I'm a newbie to this forum but just bought my ninth Subaru. I need help with locating some shop that can possibly get rid of "Rev hang time" with my new Crosstrek. I have a 5 speed manual and between shifts the engine RPM slightly increases momentarily then hangs there for about one half second before dropping. Subaru Rep. says that they are now designed that way for EPA reasons. It takes all of the fun out of driving. Is there any shop in the Twin Cities that can reprogram to get rid of that God awful hang time!

    Cable throttle ftw!
I like that my wrx swap doesnt do that. I notice that with the new Subarus.

Can't Nuke tune that out? Seems he tweaked mine on my 06 a little to make it feel more "cable-like".

I know exactly what you're talking about. Throttle map can help a little bit. Unfortunately it won't ever completely go away. I don't know the technical details but apparently that hang is a hallmark of drive-by-wire systems. Pissed me off to no end as well. You'll get used to it.
