Been driving around all night and find out my reverse lights are stuck on. (02 wrx)

It's not the switch on the steering wheel...

Working from my phone, but did a quick search and didn't get anything.

Assuming you have a 5MT there are two switches on the side of the gearbox. One is the neutral switch and the other is the reverse light switch. The forward most switch is the reverse switch. IIRC a 17mm wrench takes it out. But have a plug ready as it will dribble some gearoil.

Bulbs are pulled for the moment.

Thanks for the plug heads up, that could have gotten messy. I am assuming that i can remove the center console are and get at the switch from the top?

Nope you would have to remove the entire shifter assembly and even then the access hole would be 2 feet too far back. Go at it from underneath. You can also electrically test the switch at the connector with a multimeter. I'm not sure if its a NO or a NC switch but it should go from no continuity to closed circuit as you shift in and out of reverse.

I had back-up light switches go bad so often in my old Cherokee that I just wired in a dash switch to kill the circuit until I needed them to back up in the dark.
