Man, AutoX makes Rockfalls look like a walk in the park. Who's sig is it anyways "Stright roads is for fast cars, Twisty roads is for fast drivers" is so right. I don't get any joy out drag racing anymore, found out that taking corners is much better.
Yeah, Cheng. Drag racing is only a sport to see where you judge how quick certain cars are in comparison to other cars. It's only fun on the launch and it doesn't last long. Cone racing is more fun, but it's tiring.
racing is racing though guys. I will take as much in as possible. If i can make it out of the house for a few hours that weekend then i am up. i cant race this time though.

i loved goind to the strip last time, i made it to the semi finals. it was a blast. even though i was only running mid 16s. hopefully next time i'll have some super lightweight 13inchers that will hopefully put me in the high high 15s-low 16s but with my swap i hope to run at LEAST low 15s high 14s

I'll be there. I'm new to the fourm but have run my 02 wrx at rock falls since the day after I bought it. At the last drags, I won the 13.5 bracket and ran a PR 13.28 @ 100 mph.
I have never been to the strip since moving to the states.. used to race my Rx3 and Rx7 a few times back in OZ... would love to see how my 03 WRX would do... may even check the 17in stockers out to see how this theory of smaller wheels helps... let me know the next time it is open or on?? and some directions...

Saturday huh...that will still work for me. I can meet you guys at the Hudson Mcd's if that's the plan. I think we met at 6:30 or 7am last time. As far as grilling I don't have a grill but I would definitely throw down some money for food and pop. I'm taking my car in tonite to have all my stereo equipment removed for the weekend so everything should be all good to go.
I would have loved to go on Saturday but I have to work to pay for the car before going out and beating the crap out of it. Have fun to those of you who go.
SOME MAJOR update! Lee was DRAGGED down to CA this morning when his mother arrived. So he will not be able to make anything at all. He's probably going to be down there for good now. Poor Lee....

That's correct. I was unsure if I was gonna go, but now I am sure I won't be able to go. I got overtime and volunteer service to do.

Ok so I'm the only person that went from the board. They did end up calling it due to rain in the afternoon but the morning was windy and a little wet so times were not good all around. I'm pretty disappointed in my times but I guess thats what you get with the wind to your face. The best time I got today was a 15.600. I would've beaten it on my second to last run but I was afraid of going under my time so I backed off before I crossed the finish line(I nailed all my shifts and let go of 4th right before the finish because I had already hit 80 with plenty of room before the line). The following are those two slips: Best Run Was set to be best run but backed off of 4th R/T .490 .446 60' 2.141 2.211 330 6.365 6.458 1/8 9.905 10.000 MPH 70.08 70.07 1000 12.989 13.090 1/4 15.600 15.752 MPH 86.34 84.29 Can anyone tell me if these are good numbers(not the overall quarter but the 60', 330, etc. and yes I know the R/t's are bad but I did have a couple in the .1's today)? I got a grand total of 8 runs in. Best R/T of the day for me was .171. Also I brought home a trophy for winning all my races before they called it for rain So for a first time racing at the track even though I had to fly solo it was pretty awesome and paying 37 bucks for 8 runs, you can't go wrong. And the trophy is ok too :mrgreen:
