The next one that everyone is planning on going to, I won't race but I may join to spectate and provide drinks again.
The track wasn't in its best condition this time. A lot guys were having problems with launches. My best time came in when I raced a buddy of mine which was a 05' Black STi (stock also) r/t- .117 60- 1.994 330- 5.739 1/8- 8.821 MPH- 79.20 1000- 11.443 1/4- 13.697 MPH- 100.31 http://videos.streetfire.net/video/9F8775A0-B53E-4ECA-99C0-D6F936412383. htm Check it out Nice run Fong!
^^you're that guy I had class with, right? Your link is broken into two lines. Reconnect the "htm" back to the link. I want to see the STi's go at it but I can't at work. I missed a lot of the racing action since I had to be on my toes with my own car and stuff.
Oo shoot, I didn't see that. No, the guy that you talked to RF is my cousin. He drives a Evo. It was going to be my last run but I wanted him to get a feel of the STi Power. I'll link it up when I get home.
Not that terrible.... I was there. The starting line was coated with a wapatoolee mix of ethyl glycol, oil and probably who knows what. It was a virtual skatin' rink. His 1.9x was actually okay givin the circumstances. They did not put VHT down once and I don't think they even swept at all. Too many cars to "waste" the time preppin the start. Fonger did a little better, but could do alot better also. He did have an advantage with his "off-road" tires on this day. Fong did a good job by only launching at 3,000 rpm, I don't know how he got a good launch with those rpm's, but he is good at it. I usually pull 1.80x on the unprepped track at Rockfalls, but I only managed a 1.89x once, otherwise they were really @#$%!@#$%!@#$%!@#$%!ty with 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4..........I didn't bog once, but I sure peeled out and left the starting line more than once like I was dirt-tracking. I was told my car was at a 15 degree departure angle more than once. Since the traction was not there to be had this day, I just went with it and had fun!
Kongzilla, I totally agree with Bigstick. The was no traction what so ever. I normally get a 1.8xx on my 60' but this year off the launch I was slipping like crazy. Everyone I talked to at RF said the same thing Bigstick said.

I think I am out on most fun things till I am married, this wedding planning is getting busy the closer it gets...
damn....this tread is old as hell...... anyway, went to Rockfalls this past weekend...June 3. First time at Rockfalls. Had a good time, some of the friend's g/f's bbq so it was all good. There was a couple of REX's running......2 blue and 2 silver. All the rex ran low 13's to mid 14's. Wish there was at least an STI there though. There was this one black EVO that kept running high 11's and low 12's killing everybody. But also a few Civic hatch that got mid 12's. Overall good event, hot though.
I've never been there, so I have to get there this year a couple of times. Hopefully next race weekend.
