Well it was a tough weekend, we had nothing but trouble. I replaced every part on our clutch twice, also totaly botched the jeting on the carb.

Derek had to start the final in dead last, moved his way up to 15th and got taken out by a guy who was .4 seconds a lap slower. Good news I now know how to set up a Rotax motor.

We got Black Flaged when we lost our front bumper.

BTW we had a great field only 4 Americans, 5 world champions, by far the best field in Karting today, even Max Papas raced in the Masters division.

    That must be fun!

I watched some Karting at Laguna Seca the first time the Moto GP was there. If I recall correctly the karts were taking the corners as fast or faster than the GP bikes!

When we were runing ICA, we were pulling 4Gs in the corners. We could also pull 2.5Gs under braking.

Is it me or does that track surface look nasty?

All you can ask for is learning from previous set-ups. Story of my car escapades.

The track surface is actually really good, all the black stuff is rubber laid down that weekend. We like a surface thats a bit rough it takes rubber very well, the rubber fills in every crack.

We are learning about the motor unfortunatley there were only 3 races in this series. Next year we will have it down.

We also did this on the cheap, low cost rental motor, and only 2 new sets of tires. Everyone else went through at least 4 sets of new tires. They also had multiple motors and carbs.

I think we came up about $1000 shy of winning :)

This race was in Ocala Florida, it was the last in a 3 race series. And yes the weather was great 86 and sunny, we even got to see the space shuttle take off.

Bummer that things didn't go so well for you guys, I'm sure you'll be kicking ass and taking names at the next one.

BTW, it's warmer up here now. You can move back anytime ;)

Thanks for the encouragement, we won't be racing for another month or so. We will be using our motor for the next one. I think we will be running 2 races at Road America this year, I will post dates as they approach.

We are ready to get home, 4 months in a 24' RV is enough for me.

I could've kept one of your sims warm at my house while you were gone :)

Looking forward to maybe a sim party when you get back and get settled.

That would mean that Mark would be at your house more often, are you sure you want that ;)

We will find a time to either bring a unit to a Subie or rally event.
