just installed a turbo xs BOV (atmospheric) and the car is idleing normally, no problems there but the rpms are dipping quite low when i clutch, they pop right back up but is this because the spring is too soft and it is causing the engine to choke off a bit or what?

ok it doesnt happen with the original recirc. BOV. but i did notice if i added more washers to the spring that the rpms didnt dip but then the BOV was not working when at full boost (it wasnt making any noise, but it was releasing the boost)

Your MAFS doesn't like it when you vent boost to the atmosphere. It dumps in fuel for air thats not actually there, hence dropping the idle. This is hard on the engine, and can even lead to serious damage.

Get a decent BOV that recircs, or get a tune to compensate.
