Awww snap! Excited to see what you guys put together! So, flat wrb, or getting it ready for new paint?
It's a flat finish. Brand new paint. Freaking clear coat cost more than anything else and it doesn't even look like it has any clear coat.
Nice! Didn't want to do the flat vinyl wrap? It's pretty spendy too, but looks great! Again, excited to see the progress on this one! I'll have to stop by the shop and take a look sometime.
I can't afford that one right now haha. That's someone's 2.2 sleeved with our CNC ported heads. Soon thou.
It will do both Ben. Pretty much everything I used my Evo for. Last year I did drag, autocross, road course and short drift track. I don't doubt this car can do the same. If my 386whp stock engine, stock turbo Evo can do 10.7 in a 1/4 mile, this car should at least match that I would think.
There he is. Master fabricator, Matt Haynie (fobia). Amazing how he comes up with ideas how to start and finish a project.
Sure are Drop me a line if you're interested sir, our EF1 will perform similarly to a 68HTA and we've got bigger options if you so choose. Chris
New shoes. Bummed that only 2 came in. I have to wait for the other 2 next week. Car has been running on vf39 for now. Tuned on carberry SD rom using the stock 2002 Wrx ecu.
wow how did i miss this thread! deff suscribed, love the paint job cant wait to see what it puts down.
At 22 psi, it put down 417wtq and 342 whp. 2.5 block, stock 04 heads, Manley rods, cp pistons, twin exedy clutch, jdm 02 STI 6 speed, LSD rear diff. New turbo will be here next week. I'm keeping the car balance between drag and road race. Goal is 500whp and 480 wtq. Which ever one comes first. Thanks for the comments. I'm partial on the paint. Sometimes I like it a lot, sometimes I wish it could be shiny. Really easy to dry thou.
Upgraded to the FPblack about two weeks ago. Finally got the fuel system upgrade along with my own dual pump set up. Then on the Dyno before I left work today. New numbers 490whp 489tq at 30 psi
Wow. Looks fast. When are you taking it to the track? Could run 10's with that power and weight and tires!
It's a Subaru. It will run 12s with 550 whp haha. I don't see a limit on this Carberry Rom. Im glad someone was smart to enough to make this Speed density conversion and share it to the public. The idles perfect with awesome throttle response with the 1680cc
you running 2L heads? if so just open up the sides of the chambers and it should help out a lot, unless you plan to see what you can do with them how they are stock.
