Well, I suppose I will introduce my car first... it's easier to explain than I am. I got my first Impreza about 3 years ago, and it was quite the mess... It was made from about 4 different Subaru's at the time, but the seller didn't think I needed to know that. A 93 wagon body, a 90-94 Legacy drive-train and 2.2 block (but still the 1.8 manifold), front calipers labeled 98 Forester, front end and seats from a 2.5RS apparently... I added the rear sub-frame, disc brakes and sway-bar from a 95 Impreza, the struts from a 97 OBS, along with tires from a Forester, and exhaust from a 02 WRX. It's been interesting finding parts, and the model count is up to 7 now. I, on the other hand, am about as crazy as my Subaru sounds. Too many projects at once, and as many cars as a small junk yard at times. I kept hearing from friends about the MNSubaru site, and how the local crowd was nicer to work with than the bigger forums. I am looking forward to seeing what I can do here. If anyone happens to recognize my Impreza, and knows the original combiner of the mess, I would love to hear from them!
Welcome to MNSubaru.com! Sounds like quite the interesting ride. Lots of great people on here, enjoy!
It's amazing how fast you end up learning when you don't have a choice! It's been called a Frankenwagon on more than a few occasions I swear I am going to make the multi-tone paint look intentional one of these months...
