What I got here is my tein coilovers. Just pulled them out of the car yesterday. They are in a good shape pretty much no rust, just a little bubling on one or two of the struts. They are only ride hight adjustable no damping adjustment. However they are well ballanced. I would say they are a little bit softer than the stock sti struts. I did get a little bounce on a hwy once in a while. I am selling them cause I got used bc racing inverted shocks. I would like to start the price at $550. I am flaxible on the price but keep in mind they are around 900-1000 new. Btw, mine are around a year and half old pretty much daily driven buy the wife of a previous owner.
They got a little too bouncy, during the winter, for my back(i have a arthritis in two disks) and i though that bc's would be less bouncy but even though they are better coilovers they are still not stock suspension comfort. I might end up putting my stock struts back on.
Yeah, i am not sure what spring rates the bc's are, but they are a little lighter and the car has better handling response. Probably because they have pillow ball top hats.
Coming from my 95 T-bird I feel my stock WRX suspension is alil too rough on days like today, I can only imagine what it will feel like next year with the upgraded struts, crucial springs, sways and links?? If your having back issues Taras, I think you might wanna stay with gr2's or agx's (on the low settings) and some firmer than stock springs but the progressive type. IMHO
updated with pictures. BTW, i think you will need to use your stock tophats with them or some kind of aftermarket ones. BTW shocks are gas filled.
patience, you've only had this up for a day. it usually takes me at least a week before my stuff sells
i dont mean to be the bearer of bad news either, but these were going for 450ish on Nasioc this summer
what I told him in the middle of the install... why change out try-hard coil-overs for good coil-overs... ha ha
Yeah i know. I just did not know that all coilovers are somewhat bouncy. My back does not like it, and my gf almost barfed in the car today on 35e. I am no race car driver so i think i will be fine with just a set of lowering springs for the looks. And btw, i did not say that i want to get 550 and no less. Make me an offer and i will consider it. At this point i know i dont what them so BUY THEM!
i aint buying them, i have better ones already. just letting you know as you were surprised there were no offers
I did not say you particular have to buy them. I know they are not the greatest, but there got to be someone here who wants to get into a set of coilovers for cheap. BTW, will trade them for a set of progressive lowering springs + a little bit of cash.
It is 04 sti suspension... it has less than 35000 on all of them with no clunking the front right is brand new..
thats whay I said sold er traded.. Taras I would probably jump on these but I dont knwo suspension.. Zak or Shane86 would be good guys to chat with
I could get my teins pretty low. I dont want it too low and i guess i always could just get prodrive springs.
Just a FYI, the bouncy feeling can be eliminated buy upgrading the top hats. Using STI or Group N units would work Well documented on NASIOC and ClubWRX The Valving on the Basics are suppose to be the same as the SS in the "middle" settings.
I think i am going to stick with stock suspension for right now. So at this point i just want to sell them for the best price i can get for them .
Yeah, i think i dont what to get anything used anymore at all. Just usually does not work well for me so much. BTW, stock shocks and springs are on my car right now. We cut the front springs a bit and the car looks great, very even with the rear. The ride is good now, however it feels stiffer than the teins but WAY less bouncy on the hwy. there is not much body roll(i have thicker swaybar and solid endlinks) one thing that is noticeable is noise dive when slowing down. But its not a big deal to me. Thats a bump. Take them teins, 500obo!
