How can I find out if an unmounted tire has a bulge? I took one off my car a year ago or so and can't remember which one it was.
If you have a keen eye you should be able to see some sort of marking or break in the inner weave. Sometimes you will see a break in the lip of the inner mounting surface/bead. Usually a tire with a bulge will have a reasonably noticable abnormality.
