    Thought so...

Some have asked me about it, and know I'm a 2.5L type of guy.
Some question if it's worth it. Some would like to feel 8000rpms

Tonight was just a test. A very basic base of how it goes @ just 20psi on the 20g on e85.

My opinion? Not bad at all ;)

BTW, you should know who's car this is...

Should I turn the knob and make it 9k the next run? Haha!

Sorry for the big pic :p

I would like to see the comparison between pump gas and E85.

Also, (silly qn) I was expecting the torque to be more than that or is that what is expected with a 20g?

I don't feel like reading all of that haha. Is he running stock bore and stroke dimensions? In my nasioc surfing I saw he commented a few times on someones de-stroked build.

No pump, no need to go back ;)

    2.5L w/ 20g will make more tq.
the 22t's stroke is the same as the 2.0

Pretty much stock 22t bore with the same stroke, but is now a phase 2 crank, not phase 1

Wasted no time, finished around 1:30ish this morning.

    More results tonight.

I've seen a bone stock EJ22E engine turn a 7800 rmp redline for whatever that's worth.

Report back with over 30k on the engine with that redline, and I'll be impressed. I'd also like to know the duty cycles of the engine.

Until you have tens of thousands of miles at high duty cycles under load at those engine speeds, you have nothing of added value here. Bearings do not suddenly fail. There wear away over time.

Oh I see, I didn't think JUST ewg would add 37hp...but with fobia magic, some kind of virus, and 2psi, it all makes sense ;)

Yah, he fixes all of the big parts but all of the minor stuff he doesn't. Like what happened with the brake fluid at MAP.

Engines don't last forever. Any engine ran hard and revs high will wear sooner than one that doesn't.

The higher redline is for road course use. The engine's REV LIMIT is set there, but that doesn't mean you have to shift there all the time. The engine was put together to be able to handle the higher rev limit. The value here.... walk the walk.

I approve of this thread. Figures you would steal my turbo choice after stealing my engine plans Fuji. No I have all the more motivation to finish my build. I am very immpressed at how the 20G works on the 2.2l. Are you planning to stick with that turbo or go to something rotated? I think to truly flush out the potential of this you are going to need to go twinscroll ;-)

Fuji, I agree that engines are consumable. No questioning that.

I'm not trying to rip on your project at all. I just want to see how it holds up over time. That's all. I've followed you decisions and build closely, and am just curious as to how it all will play out in the the end. None of us know everything, so we all gather knowledge from each other's trials and tribulations.

Yeah I know, I have seen it first had... went out for a good hour in the car. It is quite a beast! I little bit faster than my car  just a little bit.... like 8 or 12 busses by 3rd gear.
