Does anyone know if there is a compatibility issue with older subarus and newer stock 6cds? I have an 01 forester and am trying to get an 04 sti 6cd to work in it. After hooking my harness into it, I do not have a working lcd display, as well as a few button functions like "cd" and the right knob for skipping tracks. Basically I'm trying to see if I should be filing a paypal claim against a nasioc seller or if the issue is with it not being compatible. I did notice that my harness doesn't have the middle plug for the back of the headunit, it is a smaller square-ish plug in the center. I do have illumination around the knobs that works and sound comes out of the speakers, along with some of the buttons working. Thanks for any help.
i thought 04 sti's didn't come with cd players. Kind of sounds like it's broken since wiring shouldn't effect the lcd display or button functionality unless it's in some sort of remote display mode, but I don't think any subaru radios have a feature like that. Is your nasioc seller not responding to your pm's?
