Things I'm OK to deal with but then they turn to those little things you get sick of ...

I have this really annoying high pitch sequel when I pull to put the seat-belt on. It doesn't bother me much but my wife hates it with a passion. What would you guys recommend to get rid of this? (squirting some lube or something inside?)

Also, I've had some bad luck with wipers, I try this brand and that, and they all seem to turn to **** in like 2 months.... Shouldn't they last longer? What brands do you guys swear by or like the most?

And another thing... My "Air Bag" light is on... Why? I've been told the connections under my seat can become loose, I've taken them off and connected them again and still shows up....

    What year/model of car?

The seatbelt squeak is fairly well documented, there is a fix floating around. Check Nasioc for the thread.

Wipers are a wear item, I usually replace mine every spring and fall. I've had some good luck with the Michelin ones I've been running lately.

Odds are your airbag module is the issue, not the connector. You may want to have a dealership check that out.

A product you could use on you w/s to help lengthen the life of your wipers, is called aqua-pel. It is a lot like rain-x but IMO better, it lasts longer(longest fore was 6mo) Its a liquid wax substance I pick it up at carquest for under 20 (I get it for under 10 through work), its a one time apply, just crack the package and smear on clean glass and buff til clear with paper towels after dry. It works so well for me I went from always having the wipers on full, down to intermittent. Just a suggestion... Good luck and hope this helps

So, say I get in an accident would you assume that the airbag will not work?

hard to say if it would work or not hence why brian indicated you would prob be best having the dealer take a peek at it.

Anyone know why the illumination lights on the dials for temperature in your vehicle would go out?

Burned out bulb in the cluster most likely.

Is there anything in your car that works?

remember kids, always use the biggest knife you can find and cut towards yourself.

I used a dremel on mine.

For your wipers, I recommend claying your windshield. Take a plastic baggy (sandwich bag) and use it like a glove and feel your glass with it. If the glass appears rough, clay bar it.

I've been very impressed with Bosch. I've used a couple other brands to try out the rubber, but Bosch has impressed me the most. I can run the same wiper for a couple years without fuss. I use the Icon wipers. The only reason I've really replaced mine was that the plastic end caps fall off after some abuse (winter, jabbing at and around them with the scraper). I had one blade cracked part way on one wiper after two years of use. Again, I can't say if that was from natural causes or me attacking it with my ice scraper or yanking them off my windshield as a chunk of ice and then manhandling them roughly till I knock all the ice off. It's hard to say, but I have generally been impressed with the rubber they use. It doesn't get dry or brittle. It doesn't deteriorate. I put on a new pair years later and wiping doesn't improve. That's always good to see.

Ditto with above. A lot of wiper performance does have to do with the cleanliness of the windshield. You can also use products on the windshield too if you like, things like rain-x or even straight up waxing the glass too when you wax your car.
