Hey all, I have to give a persuasive speech in my speech class. which topic should i choose? take the poll and then post why you think that. the speech must be 6-10 mintues long, but i cannot use conventional powerpoints w/ words. but i can use pictures.
I don't think most of the general public knows much about rally, that is if they have even heard of it at all. I would love to show how rally drivers have to be the best in the world because of the different driving conditions that all the rallies take place in. In other motorsports it is generally on ONE type of surface and ONE driving condition and very rarely on TWO types driving conditions i.e. it rained. That is why I would do it on rally.

Go with Rally, You can compare it to other motorsports. another vote for rally... for sake of yr grade. I did something like this except it was arguing why every physically capable driver should have to drive manual... too broad and too many exceptions = hard to argue in a short amount of time = B+ grade. The "everyone should drive a suby" arguement could get really funny and creative tho!
hmm tough one but i would have to go with rally because subie's aren't for everyone because i personally would rather be in alot of other cars besides a sub... not sayin that i don't love them
RALLY, it seems like a more broad topic so there are many directions you could take the speech without backing yourself into a corner. I also think it would also be more interesting from a listeners point of view. GOOD LUCK!
i already visited the SWRT site, and found TONs of awesome subie pics. only issue is if i talk about rally in general i should include pics of other maanufactueres.
If you can add in a short visual 3 min of rally racing it'll be all the persuasion you need. Or blown up pics of the cars in the air and on fire etc. (I am aware I am not supposed to start a sentence with Or Grammer Nazis)
There are a few nasioc threads on exactly this same topic. Some of them are funny... mostly becuase the kid doing the speech is retardedly unintelligent.
^^ lol. well i gotta give the speech on thurs. and so far all i have done is found a bunch of sweet rally pics. so i am sure the quality wont be too high, lol.
