Speedo not working...

For starters I have an o5' STI.

When accelerating the speedo drops to 0. When I take my foot off the gas or keep a steady speed the speedo starts working again. Any ideas? To me it sounds like a grounding issue or something along those lines. Thoughts?

I just replaced this on mine a couple of months ago.
It's next to your dipstick, under the intercooler. You'll see a 3-pin connector plugged into. I used a 17mm crow's foot and it came out very easily. New ones are about $60 from the dealer, I think.
